Skoda Epiq officially debuts with up to 440km range, fast charging, modern tech, and practical SUV space at an affordable entry-level EV price.
Skoda Unveils New Entry-Level Electric SUV
Škoda Auto has officially revealed the all-new Skoda Epiq on May 19, 2026, during its global debut event in Zurich, Switzerland. The compact electric SUV arrives as the brand’s smallest and most affordable EV, designed for buyers looking to switch from petrol cars to electric mobility without paying premium prices.
The Skoda Epiq also introduces Skoda’s latest “Modern Solid” design language, combining minimalist styling with practical everyday usability.
Pricing Aims to Match Petrol SUV Rivals
One of the biggest highlights of the new Skoda Epiq is its aggressive pricing strategy. Skoda says the SUV is being positioned close to the pricing of the ICE-powered Kamiq in several European markets.
The global starting price is expected to remain under €25,000 or around £24,950. Depending on taxes and localization, this roughly converts to ₹21 lakh to ₹26 lakh in India.
Automotive reports suggest the Epiq is also being evaluated for the Indian market, possibly arriving around mid-2027 through import or local assembly routes. If launched in India, it could compete with upcoming subcompact electric SUVs from multiple global brands.
Three Battery Variants with Up to 440 km Range
The new Skoda Epiq is built on Volkswagen Group’s updated MEB+ front-wheel-drive platform. This platform focuses on improving cabin space, efficiency, and lightweight battery integration.
The lineup includes three variants:
Epiq 35: 38.5 kWh LFP battery, 114 bhp power, 267 Nm torque, around 310 km WLTP range.
Epiq 40: Same 38.5 kWh battery with 133 bhp output and similar 310 km range.
Epiq 55: Larger 55 kWh NMC battery producing 208 bhp and 290 Nm torque with up to 440 km WLTP range.
The top variant can reach speeds of up to 160 kmph, while lower trims are limited to 150 kmph.
Fast Charging and Bidirectional Power Support
Skoda Epiq has equipped the Epiq with fast DC charging technology capable of charging the battery from 10% to 80% in just 24 minutes.
Another major feature is bidirectional charging support. The Skoda Epiq SUV supports both Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) and Vehicle-to-Home (V2H) functionality. This means users can power external devices or even supply electricity back to homes during emergencies.
These features are becoming increasingly important in modern EV ecosystems, especially in regions focused on renewable energy adoption.

Compact Outside, Surprisingly Spacious Inside
Although the Epiq is a compact SUV, Skoda has focused heavily on practicality.
The Skoda Epiq SUV measures 4,171 mm in length with a 2,601 mm wheelbase, helping maximize cabin space. It also offers one of the largest luggage capacities in its segment.
- Standard boot space: 475 litres.
- Expanded cargo capacity: Up to 490 litres.
- Additional front storage (“frunk”): 25 litres.
Inside, the cabin follows a clean minimalist approach. The traditional dashboard layout has been replaced with open storage areas and a floating centre console. Skoda also uses sustainable recycled textiles throughout the interior.
13-Inch Infotainment and Smart Connectivity
Technology is another strong area for the Epiq. The Skoda Epiq SUV gets a large 13-inch Android-based infotainment display with built-in Google Maps support.
Users also receive integrated apps like Spotify and YouTube directly from the infotainment system. The interface is designed to feel similar to a modern smartphone or tablet experience.
The SUV also includes one-pedal driving through an electronic “B” mode, helping improve driving efficiency in city traffic.
Advanced Safety and Level 2 ADAS Features
Skoda Epiq has introduced a new Level 2 ADAS package in the Epiq. The SUV debuts corner-mounted radar sensors that enable advanced Junction Assist functionality.
Other key safety technologies include:
- Adaptive Cruise Control
- Travel Assist 3.0
- Lane support systems
- Enhanced collision monitoring
These features are designed to improve both urban and highway driving safety while reducing driver fatigue.
A Strong Step Forward for Affordable EVs
The Skoda Epiq shows how affordable electric SUVs are rapidly evolving. With competitive pricing, modern technology, long driving range, and practical storage space, Skoda appears ready to attract a wide range of global EV buyers.
