HoYoverse has officially revealed Nodus Fall, a new dark fantasy action RPG, during Gamescom Opening Night Live 2026. The announcement surprised fans because the game looks very different from the studio’s familiar anime-style titles.
Nodus Fall Brings a Darker World
Nodus Fall takes place in a dark fantasy world where divine authority has collapsed and order has fallen apart. Players become a “Weaver” and must work together to confront powerful mythic creatures threatening the world.
The setting gives Nodus Fall a much darker identity than games such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail and Zenless Zone Zero.
Co-Op Combat Is a Major Focus
The reveal trailer puts cooperative combat at the center of Nodus Fall. Players appear to coordinate their attacks against enormous enemies and dangerous bosses.
