The Dodge Charger Super Bee is officially returning for the 2027 model year, bringing a major performance upgrade to the modern Charger lineup. Dodge has given the iconic nameplate a new high-output powertrain, stronger brakes, revised suspension and dedicated track features.
A New Super Bee for 2027
The new 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition is positioned as the most powerful internal-combustion Super Bee ever. It also marks a major change from the model's traditional V8 formula.
Instead of a HEMI V8, the new Super Bee uses Dodge's 3.0-liter twin-turbocharged SIXPACK inline-six engine. Dodge says this version has been specifically upgraded for the Super Bee.
600 HP From the Twin-Turbo Six
The biggest headline is the engine's output. The Super Bee produces 600 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque.
Dodge uses larger 56mm Garrett twin turbochargers along with revised intake, exhaust and cooling systems. The result is 200 horsepower per litre of engine displacement.
For comparison, the 2027 Charger Sixpack Scat Pack produces 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. That gives the Super Bee an extra 50 horsepower.
Quick Acceleration and Quarter-Mile Times
The extra power gives the Charger Super Bee serious straight-line performance.
It can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 3.6 seconds and complete the quarter mile in 11.8 seconds. That makes it the quickest and fastest Super Bee yet.
Power is sent through an eight-speed TorqueFlite 880RE automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive.
Track-Focused Chassis Upgrades
Dodge has not stopped with engine tuning. The Super Bee receives hardware designed for harder driving.
It gets 20-inch forged wheels, wide 305/35ZR20 Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercar 3 tyres, adaptive dampers and a stiffer rear anti-roll bar.
Braking performance is also improved with 16-inch Brembo brakes, six-piston front calipers and four-piston rear calipers.
Drag and Track Modes
The new Super Bee adds dedicated Drag and Track drive modes. These modes are designed to make the car more suitable for straight-line launches and circuit driving.
It also brings back Torque Reserve, which helps build boost before a launch.
Despite having standard AWD, the car can also switch to rear-wheel-drive mode for performance driving and controlled oversteer.
Exterior and Interior Changes
The Super Bee Launch Edition gets unique graphics, special badging and performance-focused styling. Buyers can choose from three announced themes: Sucker Punch, Diamond Black and Shady.
Inside, the car receives heavily bolstered seats, Super Bee logos and distinctive contrast stitching. The focus is clearly on creating a more aggressive performance environment.
Coupe and Sedan Versions
Another important detail is body style. The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee Launch Edition will be offered as both a two-door coupe and four-door sedan.
That gives buyers a choice between classic coupe proportions and the added practicality of the sedan.
Limited Launch Edition and Pricing
The Super Bee will initially be offered exclusively as a limited-production Launch Edition. Dodge has not yet announced the official MSRP or exact delivery schedule. Those details are expected later in 2026.
The regular 2027 Charger Sixpack Scat Pack starts at about $61,985, so the Super Bee is expected to cost more. However, any higher pricing currently remains an estimate until Dodge confirms it.

No HEMI V8, But Plenty of Muscle
Perhaps the biggest talking point is what sits under the hood. The new Super Bee does not use a HEMI V8.
Instead, Dodge is relying on its twin-turbo SIXPACK inline-six to carry the Super Bee name into a new era. With 600 hp, 531 lb-ft, AWD, a 3.6-second 0-60 time and an 11.8-second quarter mile, the numbers show that Dodge is still serious about high-performance petrol muscle.
The 2027 Dodge Charger Super Bee therefore represents a major evolution of the legendary nameplate, combining modern turbocharged performance with aggressive styling and track-focused hardware.
