Royal Enfield has officially stepped into the electric vehicle space with the launch of the Flying Flea C6. Inspired by the original World War II paratrooper motorcycle, this modern iteration blends retro aesthetics with cutting-edge technology. It is designed primarily as an agile urban commuter, targeting riders looking for style, premium build quality, and zero emissions.  


Disruptive Pricing: The BaaS Model Explained


Pricing strategies for electric motorcycles often create high barriers to entry, but Royal Enfield has introduced a flexible approach for the Indian market.


Standard Ownership: The motorcycle is priced at ₹2.79 Lakh (ex-showroom), which includes the battery.  


Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS): Buyers can opt for a lower initial cost of ₹1.99 Lakh (ex-showroom) and pay a monthly subscription fee for the battery. This model drastically lowers the upfront cost and covers battery maintenance.  


Availability: Deliveries started in June 2026, rolling out initially in major metros through dedicated "Flying Flea Gallery" retail spaces.

Expected Range: Royal Enfield claims an IDC range of 154 km (95 miles) on a single charge. However, under real-world riding conditions, riders can expect between 60 to 100 km (40 to 60 miles), depending on how aggressively the throttle is used.
