Launch Details

Hero MotoCorp officially launched the Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel in India on 3 June 2026. It is India's first mass-market flex-fuel commuter motorcycle capable of running on ethanol-petrol blends from E20 to E85.

Price Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel

Limited-time introductory offer: ₹78,710 (₹4,000 discount in selected markets during the promotional period).

Availability

The motorcycle is initially available through Hero dealerships in Delhi and selected regions of Maharashtra. Hero MotoCorp plans a phased rollout across the rest of India after the initial launch.

Design and Build Quality

The Splendor+ Flex Fuel retains the familiar commuter styling while adding a few exclusive touches:

New Flex Fuel graphics.

Flex Fuel badging.

Semi-digital instrument cluster.

LED headlamp.

Body-coloured mirrors.

Alloy wheels.

Comfortable single-piece seat.

Practical upright riding position.

9.8-litre fuel tank.

The overall design remains simple and commuter-focused while clearly distinguishing it from the regular Splendor+.

Engine and Performance

Engine: 97.2cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder.

Maximum Power: 8.4 bhp (on E85 fuel).

Peak Torque: 8.3 Nm.

Transmission: 4-speed gearbox.

Top Speed: Around 87 km/h.

Compatible with E20 to E85 ethanol blends.

Hero has tuned the engine to maintain everyday rideability while supporting higher ethanol content without sacrificing reliability.

Mileage Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel

Mileage depends on the fuel blend being used.

Claimed mileage: Around 60-65 km/l.

User-reported average: Approximately 62 km/l.

Petrol (E20) generally offers slightly higher fuel economy than E85 because ethanol contains less energy per litre.

Braking and Safety

The Splendor+ Flex Fuel focuses on practical safety features.

130 mm front drum brake.

130 mm rear drum brake.

Integrated Braking System (IBS).

Side-stand engine cut-off.

Tubeless tyres.

Alloy wheels.

i3S Idle Stop-Start technology.

Bright LED headlamp for improved visibility.

These features are designed for safe and economical daily commuting.

Suspension

Front: Telescopic hydraulic forks

Rear: 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers

The suspension setup is tuned to absorb potholes and uneven Indian roads while keeping maintenance costs low.

Battery

The Hero Splendor+ Flex Fuel is a conventional petrol motorcycle, not an electric bike, so it does not have a traction battery.

Instead, it uses a 12V maintenance-free battery to power:

Electric start.

LED lighting.

Instrument cluster.

Electrical system.

Battery life typically ranges from 3 to 5 years, depending on riding conditions and maintenance.
