EV startup Simple Energy has officially launched its first family-oriented vehicle. The simple wave electric scooter made its debut in India on September 2, 2026.

This marks a big shift for the company. They are moving away from high-performance models to focus on everyday utility. This simple wave electric scooter is built for regular families who need a reliable, spacious ride.

Affordable Pricing and Smart Lineup Options

Getting an electric vehicle should not break the bank. The simple wave electric scooter launched with an introductory price starting at ₹1.09 lakh to ₹1.10 lakh (ex-showroom). To fit different budgets, the company created three primary variants spread across six configurations.

Buyers can choose between the Standard simple wave electric scooter, the mid-tier Wave S, or the premium Wave+ model. Customer deliveries for every version of the simple wave electric scooter are scheduled to begin in the last week of September 2026.

Top-Tier Performance and Battery Specifications

Do you worry about battery life? The range-topping Wave+ variant of this simple wave electric scooter comes with a massive 5 kWh battery pack. Across the entire lineup, Simple Energy actually offers up to 4 battery size options.

On a full charge, the premium simple wave electric scooter hits a claimed IDC range of 243 km. It also reaches a top speed of 90 kmph, making it perfect for both city commutes and longer journeys.

Fast Charging and Smooth Ride Handling

Nobody wants to wait hours to charge their vehicle. The simple wave electric scooter powers up from 0 to 80% in just 70 minutes using fast charging. While riding, you can count on excellent handling. The simple wave electric scooter features front telescopic forks and a progressive twin-shock rear suspension.

For safety, it includes a 220mm front disc brake and a reliable rear drum brake resting on sturdy 12-inch wheels.

Massive Mini Trunk Storage for Families

Storage is where this vehicle truly shines. The simple wave electric scooter features a class-leading 70 litres of total storage space. This "mini trunk" setup includes a 63-litre main under-seat boot and a 3-litre glovebox.

There is even a unique 4-litre side compartment named the 'Pill'. This makes the simple wave electric scooter incredibly practical for carrying groceries, helmets, and daily essentials.

Ergonomic Design Built for Daily Comfort

Comfort was a top priority for the design team. The simple wave electric scooter boasts a 920mm-long seat, which is claimed to be the longest scooter seat in India. A comfortable 775mm seat height ensures that riders of all heights can plant their feet firmly on the ground.

Additionally, the simple wave electric scooter provides a flat, spacious floorboard so you never feel cramped during long trips.
