Hyundai Motor India has officially confirmed the Hyundai Bayon for the local market. The upcoming Hyundai Bayon enters as an all-new crossover SUV designed to offer drivers a stylish, comfortable, and feature-packed ride.  


Positioning and Competitors


In terms of lineup placement, the Hyundai Bayon slots directly between the sub-4-metre Venue and the popular Creta. Measuring approximately 4.18 metres in length, the Hyundai Bayon directly targets segment rivals like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx. This balanced sizing gives the vehicle extra cabin space while remaining agile in busy traffic.  


Expected Launch Date and Pricing


Car enthusiasts are closely tracking the upcoming release of the Hyundai Bayon. The manufacturer plans an official market launch during the festive season around October 2026. As for the cost, the Hyundai Bayon has an estimated price range between ₹9 Lakh and ₹15 Lakh (ex-showroom).  


Engine Performance and CNG Variant


Under the hood, the Hyundai Bayon provides versatile engine choices. Powering the crossover is a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine generating 115 hp, paired with a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic transmission.

Hyundai is also introducing a factory-fitted bi-fuel CNG variant. This makes the Hyundai Bayon the largest vehicle in Hyundai’s current lineup to offer a factory CNG setup. Furthermore, a punchy 1.2-litre turbo-petrol engine is currently under evaluation for drivers seeking extra power.

Visually, the Hyundai Bayon features a bold split-lighting front design anchored by a full-width LED DRL bar. It boasts an upright SUV silhouette combined with flared wheel arches, giving it a sporty road presence.
