Palworld 1.0 Update: What’s Fresh and Different?
The full release is much more than a standard update. Pocketpair has added a large amount of fresh content while improving many existing systems.
Players can look forward to:
- The new World Tree area opening for exploration.
- New Pals to discover, capture, and use in battle.
- Additional bosses and dungeons.
- Expanded exploration across new regions.
- Better base-building features and management tools.
- Gameplay balancing and performance improvements.
- Several quality-of-life updates designed to make the overall experience smoother.
These additions make Version 1.0 the biggest content update since the game first entered Early Access in January 2024.
Existing Saves Will Continue to Work
One of the biggest questions before launch has been whether players would lose their progress.
Pocketpair has assured players that their current save files will continue to work seamlessly with Version 1.0. That means players can continue using their current worlds, bases, and collected Pals without starting over.
However, the developer also mentioned that beginning a new save is recommended for players who want to experience the complete progression and explore all of the new content from the beginning.
Platforms and Price Remain the Same
Palworld Version 1.0 launches simultaneously on multiple platforms, including:
- PC (Steam)
- Xbox Series X|S
- Xbox One
- Xbox Game Pass
- PlayStation 5
- macOS
Pocketpair has also confirmed that the game's price will remain US$29.99 even after leaving Early Access. While many games increase in price after a full release, the studio decided to keep the current price as a thank-you to its community after reaching more than 40 million players worldwide.
