Audi has just taken the wraps off its highly anticipated new flagship, the 2027 Audi Q9. Designed to take on heavyweights like the BMW X7 and Mercedes-Benz GLS, the Q9 blends imposing size with world-first lighting technology and a hyper-digital interior.

The Audi Q9 SUV is built on the Premium Platform Combustion (PPC) and its sheer size is its most defining feature. Measuring 5.31 meters (209 inches) in length and 2.21 meters (86.8 inches) in width, it dwarfs the Q7. Its 3.14-meter (123.5-inch) wheelbase ensures that the massive footprint translates directly into interior volume.
The front fascia is dominated by a massive Singleframe grille featuring illuminated vertical slats and a glowing 2D Audi logo. Buyers can choose wheel sizes ranging from 20 to 23 inches, with the larger options coming standard with acoustic foam inserts to keep road noise out of the cabin.
The Digital Stage Interior

This engine pairs with Audi’s new MHEV Plus mild-hybrid system, which adds a temporary boost of 24 horsepower.
For the US market, buyers can expect a 2.9-liter twin-turbo V6 petrol engine churning out 429 horsepower.
For those wanting maximum performance, Audi also revealed the SQ9. This high-performance variant packs a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 producing a massive 591 horsepower (441 kW) and 800 Nm of torque. All models use an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission and quattro all-wheel drive, paired with adaptive air suspension.

Price and Release Date
The 2027 Audi Q9 SUV is not cheap. In Europe, the Q9 TDI will start at 108,400 euros (approximately $118,000 USD or Rs 1.18 crore before Indian taxes).
International deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026. For the Indian market, the Audi Q9 SUV is expected to arrive as a fully imported CBU in the second quarter of 2027, with prices estimated between Rs. 1.25 and 1.40 Crore.
