South Carolina Education Lottery Prize Claim Rules
The South Carolina Education Lottery continues to follow a strict prize redemption system based on the value of winnings. All winning tickets must be claimed within 180 days from the draw date.
Prizes worth up to $500 can be claimed directly at authorized lottery retailers after signing the ticket.
For winnings between $501 and $100,000, players must submit their signed ticket by registered mail along with a completed claim form and a copy of a valid government-issued photo ID.
Any prize exceeding $100,000 requires winners to visit the lottery headquarters in Columbia, South Carolina. Players must provide their signed ticket, claim form, photo identification, and Social Security card during the process.
Lottery officials also reminded players to sign the back of their tickets immediately for security purposes.
