Sony confirms a new PlayStation Store sale starting May 13 as gamers wait for major Days of Play 2026 discounts and upcoming blockbuster game releases.
The Sony ecosystem is entering a brief quiet phase after the end of the PlayStation Store Spring Sale on May 6. While regular discounts have temporarily slowed down, players will not have to wait long for fresh offers. Sony has already confirmed that the “Next Level Savings” promotion will begin on May 13, giving gamers another chance to grab major titles at reduced prices.
At the same time, excitement is building around the annual Days of Play 2026 event, which is expected to return later this month with discounts on games, subscriptions, hardware, and accessories.
PlayStation Network Services Remain Stable
Over the last few hours, all major PlayStation Network services have remained fully operational. Players across regions are able to access multiplayer gaming, digital purchases, cloud saves, and account management services without any reported outages.
This stability comes at an important time, especially as millions of users continue downloading this month’s PlayStation Plus titles and preparing for upcoming game launches. Sony’s servers appear to be handling traffic smoothly despite increased activity surrounding new releases and sale speculation.
PlayStation Plus May 2026 Games Draw Attention
The current lineup of monthly PlayStation Plus games has received strong interest from subscribers. Sports fans are diving into EA Sports FC 26, which introduces updated squads, refined gameplay systems, and expanded competitive modes.
Action RPG fans are also exploring Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, a dark fantasy experience inspired by the late Ming Dynasty. Meanwhile, Nine Sols continues attracting players with its blend of cyberpunk visuals and Eastern mythology.
These titles are currently available for eligible PlayStation Plus members and are helping maintain strong engagement on the platform during the transition between sales events.
New Releases Keep the Store Active
Even without a major promotion running, the PlayStation Store continues seeing steady activity thanks to new launches and upcoming releases. Recent additions such as Constance and MOTORSLICE have started gaining visibility among players looking for fresh experiences.
The next few weeks are expected to be even busier. Directive 8020 is set to arrive on May 12, followed by Outbound on May 14. Later in the month, LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight is scheduled for release on May 22.
However, the biggest spotlight remains on Grand Theft Auto VI, which is officially planned to launch on May 26, 2026. Anticipation for the title continues driving conversations across the gaming industry.

Popular PS5 Titles Still Available Before Next Sale
Although the Spring Sale has ended, several major bundles and premium editions remain available on the PlayStation Store. The Hazelight Bundle continues attracting co-op fans, while Hogwarts Legacy Digital Deluxe Edition remains one of the platform’s most popular fantasy adventures.
Superhero fans are also revisiting Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales, especially on PS5 Pro systems where enhanced graphics and haptic feedback improve the overall experience.
Meanwhile, Ghost of Yōtei recently received a free Legends DLC update, helping the title maintain momentum ahead of Sony’s next promotional campaign.
Days of Play 2026 Could Start Within Weeks
Sony’s annual Days of Play celebration now appears to be approaching quickly. Based on previous launch patterns, industry watchers expect the 2026 event to begin sometime during the week of May 26.
Days of Play has become one of Sony’s biggest yearly promotions since its introduction in 2017. The event usually includes discounts on digital games, PlayStation Plus memberships, PS5 consoles, controllers, and accessories.
Many players have also noticed changes inside the PlayStation Store recently, including the temporary disappearance of the “Deals” tab. This has fueled speculation that Sony is preparing backend updates before launching the next wave of promotions.
While Sony has not officially revealed full details yet, early signs strongly suggest that Days of Play 2026 preparations are already underway. For gamers waiting to buy new titles or renew subscriptions, the next few weeks could bring some of the biggest PlayStation discounts of the year.
