Santa Anita Park is set to welcome racing fans and families on Saturday for Santa Anita Derby Day 2026, one of the biggest horse racing events on the West Coast and a major stop on the road to the Kentucky Derby.
The featured race, the Grade 1 Santa Anita Derby, will bring elite 3-year-old thoroughbreds to Arcadia to compete for a $500,000 purse and 100 Kentucky Derby qualifying points. The winner is expected to secure a place in the starting gate for the Run for the Roses at Churchill Downs.

General admission starts at $10 online and $20 at the gate, according to Santa Anita Park. Organizers are encouraging guests to buy tickets early and arrive ahead of the crowds to enjoy the full lineup of racing and entertainment.
