BMW’s F 450 GS arrives April 23, 2026, featuring a 48hp parallel-twin engine and premium tech. Locally produced in India, it targets the KTM 390 Adventure and Himalayan 450.

The BMW F 450 GS is a middleweight adventure motorcycle designed to bridge the gap between the entry-level G 310 GS and the larger F 800/900 models. It features an all-new parallel-twin engine and premium electronics previously reserved for the high-end R 1300 GS series.

Engine and Performance

Engine: Newly developed 420cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin motor with a 135-degree crankshaft offset for better torque delivery and a unique sound.

Power Output: Produces 48 hp (47.58 PS) at 8,750 rpm and 43 Nm of peak torque at 6,750 rpm.

Performance: Capable of a top speed of 165 kmph and can reach 0–100 kmph in approximately 5.9 seconds.

Transmission: 6-speed manual gearbox.

Chassis and Underpinnings

Frame: Lightweight steel tubular space frame with the engine as a stressed member.

Weight: Competitive kerb weight of 178 kg.

Suspension: 43 mm KYB upside-down front forks and a KYB rear monoshock, both offering 180 mm of travel and full adjustability on higher variants.

Wheels and Tyres: 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels. Higher trims like the GS Trophy feature tubeless cross-spoke wheels, while standard models use alloys.
